do you want to change the world?
Suspended Coffees is run entirely by volunteers. We welcome others who share our vision to join us. Volunteers are critical to the success of the movement.
what can I do as a volunteer?
social media
We’re looking for a creative social media volunteer to help grow Suspended Coffees’ online presence and connect our mission with a wider audience. Responsibilities include creating engaging content, identifying trends, responding to messages and comments, building community engagement, and expanding to platforms like TikTok and Twitter/X. We’re especially interested in someone with social media or content creation experience, a strong understanding of social media strategy, and a passion for supporting our community-focused mission.
detectives
we constantly need to check and review the information we hold about participating businesses. This role is allocated on renewable short-project basis. Typically we'll ask you to check the information for up to 10 businesses at a time.
ambassadors
one of the most important things you can do is to help share the Suspended Coffees message in your community, and especially with local, privately owned cafés. If you’d like to be a Suspended Coffees Ambassador, please click below to download a flyer covering the key points you should cover with those businesses to encourage them to join us.
other questions
what skills do I need?
We're looking for people with excellent verbal and written communication skills. English is the first language for most of our cafés and followers, and therefore applicants must be fluent. Knowledge of one or more additional languages is desirable but not essential. Social media volunteers will need to demonstrate their previous experience.
how do I apply?
Please submit a Curriculum Vitae or résumé to suspendedcoffeess@gmail.com. Once we've received that, we’ll be in contact to set up a time for an online interview. If you join us, we'll ask you to sign a confidentiality agreement and go through a brief induction.
are there any salaried opportunities?
Unfortunately the answer to this is a resounding 'no'. We are a volunteer run organization and all positions are unpaid.
