Can you send Emily a birthday card?

Hi, everyone. John here. A friend of mine got in touch, and told me about this special little lady named Emily. Here is the story, and if you can watch the little video I made below, I’ll explain a bit more about why we are supporting The Emily Card Project. We really appreciate your help, and thank you all so much.

THE STORY: Emily is a 12 year old girl who is going through some tough times with medical issues and learning disabilities. Additionally, she is bullied at school and as a result not very social. Her mom would love to make her day by showing her how connected she is in the world and how many people care about her.

THE PROJECT: Emily is turning 13 on June 27th, a very special year as she embraces becoming a teenager and starts to become even more aware of all the good in the world. Her mom has asked for birthday cards to be sent to her. We’ll be collecting them on her behalf with our PO Box (please address your envelope exactly how our address appears so we can ensure she gets your cards). Please mail by June 17th so we can have enough time to forward everything to Emily.

MESSAGE FROM EMILY’S MOM: I think she would be amazed and feel so much better if she knew the whole world was not like all the people who have made fun of her or made her feel unworthy – that there really are good people in the world who understand it’s ok to be DIFFERENT, to be yourself. If you would like to send her a card or just a note to uplift her spirits, I would FOREVER be grateful for it. I never ask for people to do anything for me, instead I`m always the one to do things for other people BUT today I am asking for a favor and I hope to have even just a few people want to reach out.

Also, for the people who are unable to send a letter, I’ve created a Facebook page, specifically so you can leave Emily a message wishing her Happy Birthday!

Thank you for your support!

P.S we’re gonna follow this up after Emily gets all her cards and let you guys know. 🙂

Kind regards,

John.
